1. Prioritize your tasks

It’s important to learn how to distinguish your tasks so you can focus your energy and time on high priority ones. Don’t be afraid to delegate what you can and postpone the less important and urgent tasks.

We will never say it enough but learning time management is a big part of being organized. There are different techniques and strategies you can try to get better at being organized. Here are a few well known time management techniques:

  • The pomodoro technique: This method helps you get super focused on work. Each pomodoro consists of 25 minutes of focused work broken by 5 minutes of breaks. The goal is to focus only on your task.
  • Eat the frog: The goal of this method is to identify your more difficult task and to focus on it first.

A tidy environment often leads to a more tidy mind. When you clean up your desk to make it free of distraction it will help you focus easier. Make sure each item has a designated place and return things to their proper locations once you are done with it. 

Don’t let things pile up until it becomes stressful. Delete your unread emails, apps you don’t use.

Set a moment in your schedule every week to declutter your digital and physical space. The more regularly you do it the easier it will become a habit.
